Options

Use option flow, option chains, max pain, and contract pages to review listed options.

Option pages connect an underlying with its flow, chain, expiration summaries, and contracts.

Open options from an underlying

Optionable stock and index pages link to Option Flow, Option Chain, and Max Pain. Contract pages link back to the underlying and its option chain.

The underlying header and tabs remain visible as you move between these pages, so the ticker and current price stay in view.

The underlying tabs link its overview, option flow, chain, and other data pages.

Read an option chain

The chain groups calls and puts by strike for one expiration. It shows each contract's last price, change, volume, open interest, and contract link. With Option Flow access, it also shows live bid and ask quotes and optional Greeks.

Choose an expiration above the table. The charts summarize call and put volume, open interest, and max pain by strike for the selected expiration.

The chain compares calls and puts across strikes for the selected expiration.

Filter option trades and orders

Option Flow shows individual prints and grouped orders. Filters include symbols, expiration, strike, right, exchange, conditions, size, premium, price, open interest, volume, Greeks, and classification fields.

Switch between Prints and Orders, choose the visible columns, and sort the table from its headers. Contract links open the matching option page.

Option Flow can show individual prints or grouped orders with the selected filters and columns.

Read Max Pain by expiration

For each expiration, Max Pain is the strike where the payout implied by current call and put open interest is lowest.

The summary also shows the put/call ratio and the underlying price relative to Max Pain. Max Pain is a calculation from open interest, not a price target.

The summary lists Max Pain, the put/call ratio, and price relative to Max Pain for each expiration.

Open one contract

A contract page covers one expiration, strike, and right. It shows the contract header, price history, and links to its underlying and option chain.

Return to the chain to compare nearby strikes or expirations. Open the underlying chart to compare the contract with the underlying price.

The underlying chart shows the stock or index price associated with the contract.
