Indexes
Review index values, price history, full charts, market breadth, and supported index option chains.
Open an index
An index page shows the benchmark's latest value, change, timestamp, daily chart, intraday chart, performance periods, and profile when available.
Indexes are calculated values. Some have related futures, funds, or options, but the index itself may not be directly tradeable.
Review index history
Open Historical for the available daily Open, High, Low, Close, Change, Volume, and return-comparison values. The table identifies its display timezone in the Date heading.
Open the full chart to change the interval or chart style, add indicators and drawings, or inspect a smaller time range.
Open supported index options
Options tabs appear when an index has option-chain coverage. The chain shows available expirations, calls, puts, price, volume, open interest, bid, ask, and optional Greeks.
Max Pain summarizes calls and puts by expiration. These pages describe the listed contracts and open-interest distribution; they do not turn that data into a price forecast.
Compare the index with market breadth
An index's methodology and constituent weights determine how much each component affects the headline value. Index direction alone does not report how many stocks advanced or declined.
Use the stock heatmap and market boards to compare index direction with the distribution of changes across listed stocks.
