Markets

Compare stock, crypto, and forex heatmaps, gainers, losers, and most-active lists.

Markets combines a heatmap with Gainers, Losers, and Most Active lists.

Choose a market

Open Stocks, Crypto, or Forex from the Markets menu. Each page includes a heatmap and Gainers, Losers, and Most Active lists.

Use the heatmap to compare many symbols at once. Use the lists when you need exact prices, percentage changes, volume, or a ranked order.

The stock page places its market and time-window controls directly above the heatmap.

Set the stock universe and time window

The stock page includes S&P 500, Full US, World, and OTC universes. Time windows are Today, Yesterday, 1 Week, MTD, 1 Month, 3 Month, 6 Month, YTD, and 1 Year.

The line above the map states the selected universe, tile-size field, color field, grouping, and number of symbols shown. Check this line before comparing two maps.

The universe selects the heatmap symbols. The time window also sets the return used by Gainers and Losers.

Read the heatmap

Tile area represents the size field named above the map. Tile color represents the selected percentage-change field. Green indicates a positive change, red indicates a negative change, and stronger color indicates a larger move.

S&P 500, Full US, and OTC stocks are grouped by sector and industry. World stocks are grouped by country. Crypto is grouped by its available category data, and forex uses a flat map.

Hover a tile to see its values. Select a tile with a symbol link to open that symbol page. Pan and zoom when a group contains too many small tiles to read at once.

The description above the heatmap identifies what tile area and color represent.
Hover a tile to identify it. Select a linked tile to open its symbol page.

Use the ranked lists

Gainers sorts positive changes from highest to lowest. Losers sorts negative changes from lowest to highest. Most Active sorts by volume.

On Stocks, select a list title to open its matching Screener preset with full filtering, columns, sorting, and paging. Select any listed symbol to open its symbol page. Crypto and forex lists use the current market snapshot and link directly to available symbol pages.

Stock list titles open the corresponding Screener preset.

Open a symbol or keep the market view visible

Open a symbol to view its quote, chart, and available data tabs. Open Screener when the ranked lists need more filters or columns. Add a market heatmap to Terminal when you want it beside charts, lists, or other tools.

Select a symbol in Most Active to inspect its quote, charts, and data tabs.
