Origins
The first tools that would become ChartExchange were built to scratch a specific itch. The US saw a wave of hard-to-borrow pot stocks hit its exchanges when Canada moved to legalize cannabis. The signals that actually mattered weren't anywhere our brokers would show us: borrow rates, short interest, failures-to-deliver. So we built it ourselves, and we kept collecting data and building the instruments we wished existed. When the 2020–2021 retail wave hit, we opened them up to everyone who'd just discovered how much the pros could see that they couldn't.
Today
ChartExchange is an independent financial market research platform covering stocks, options, crypto, forex, and indices. All surfaced with the trade conditions, exchange-volume breakdowns, dark-pool prints, and intraday ticks most sites strip out.
Deep Data
Our data is sourced directly from exchanges, regulators, and the communities where the moves start. We adjust for the things that quietly break charts elsewhere: stock splits, T+N settlement shifts on failures-to-deliver, and exchange consolidations. We retain years of history for most datasets, and everything you see exports straight to a spreadsheet.
