My LLY investment earlier this month has saved me a lot of pain. It hasn’t made me much money but atp that’s outperforming most of the market

Parking money in LLY has been the smartest thing I’ve done this month

It’s been a tough year but I’m back to even in my main trading port and up on all the shit I’ve left alone.
Master Trader, I’ve got the Idiot port on Idiot Savant learned yet again.
But I’ve rebalanced a lot more towards divvy type stuff and am only going to actively trade 2 or 3 names. I need income now as I’m forevering my house.
MU, NBIS and LLY are my trade bros to hopefully make a little ongoing premium.
Good luck to all traders this week.

LLY and SMH are both well above their previous split prices.

It’s so goddamn hot outside I just saw my neighbor get an order of 50 Frostys. Calls on WEN, DASH, and LLY

PEP and KO are both dividend kings. I've long appreciated the irony.
And what I'm hearing you say is that a well balanced portfolio should include LLY, as well.
Just trying to inject a little levity into what is really a morbid issue (yes, puns intended).

healthcare is a reasonable rotation but the sector is not one thing, the GLP-1 names trade more like momentum growth than defensive right now. LLY in particular is priced for the obesity story to keep compounding, so it is not really the low-drawdown ballast people expect when they say defensive. if resilience is the goal you want the boring parts, big pharma with covered dividends and device makers, not the thing that already ran.
one concrete check before you rotate, look at how each candidate behaved in the last two real selloffs rather than trusting the sector label. some healthcare held up, the high multiple GLP-1 names did not.
also worth watching the whole space is a duopoly headline machine right now, a single trial readout moves both LLY and NVO hard in opposite directions, so it is less diversified than it looks.

On LLY your read looks basically right to me, the PEG is doing the heavy lifting to make the multiple ok, so it really rides on the growth actually showing up.
Where id gently push is the GENB logic, mostly the part about using NVIDIAs ~$12.80 as an anchor. That stake is about $10.4M through their venture arm, which for NVIDIA is a rounding error, and NVentures tends to invest to pull companies onto its own compute and bio tools. So their entry price mainly tells you they want the AI-drug-discovery space to grow, its a weak signal that 13 is a floor.
Underneath it this is a clinical-stage bet. No approved product yet. The $7.2M of revenue is from Amgen and Novartis research deals rather than product sales, and the cash only runs to 2028. So it mostly comes down to whether the Phase 3 asthma readout lands before they need to raise again and dilute. Thats the piece id size the position around.
