It really depends on how granular you want to be with ethical investing. There's several popular funds ESGV was mentioned, FRDM is an emerging market one focused on human freedom/personal liberties (all though heavy in memory with SK Hynix and Samsung). You could go also concentrate in something like solar with TAN. People can be divided on nuclear but there's next gen exposure with URA/NLR or space with NASA/UFO.
So yeah, there's so many ETFs now it really is going to depend on what you care about and how granular you want to get. If you want mainly want to avoid coal/fossil fuels, tobacco, and weapons with a handful of diversified funds the look into the ESG/Socially Responsible funds like ESGV, XJH, ESGD, ESGE.
I honestly think it's better to just invest in what you think will make you the most money, excluding single stock holds and specific sector concentrations like XLE/SHLD, that you are opposed to of course, and just donate a portion of your profits to causes you support than be overly concerned than holding only VOO means you hold a half percent of Palantir , United Health, and Chevron in your portfolio for instance. Just the way I look at it at least.
