started properly saving and investing 2 years ago at 33 yo. that time i did not have any savings at ALL kasi YOLO life ako noon until one day naburnout ako sa work. pagod na pagod na ako magtrabaho as a corpo slave, kaya started saving na talaga. i'm aiming at 'retiring' at 50.
the main challenge really was increasing my income kasi kahit anong compute ko or pagstrategize paano mag save, di ko marreach yung target amount ko at my salary back then. kaya i started looking for a job and thankfully got a better paying one.
the next challenge really is spending WAY BELOW my means. i keep track of all of my cashflows. no frivolous spending. i always ask myself "kailangan ko ba talaga bilhin to". i budget 'fun spending' and keep to that. most importantly, hindi nagpapautang.
the last really is just keeping to the discipline. masasanay ka rin. so far, on track naman ako sa plan ko.
