I am so pissed over the HR.UN takeover. Probably the worst takeover deal of any stock I've ever owned... super crappy takeover premium and terrible compensation structure - getting shares of an illiquid stock that only trades on the TSX in USD. And as an extra slap to the face, HR is suspending the dividend immediately so holders don't get paid in the period until the deal closes. Grr.

Basically, daycare for childless women who have nothing to offer society at large. The point of the job is to pay them well and give them ample time off to stay politically active so they support the status quo. You can only get those jobs if you know someone so they end up working with their friends; other barren women who also offer nothing to society.
They'd never vote against the hand that feeds them free money, so the government gets more and more bloated and more and more useless. More time off, better pay, better health insurance that isn't performance based, more jobs for your liberal femcel friends. The wink-wink, nudge-nudge is they keep voting for even bigger and even more useless government at the expense of the US taxpayer.
So stuff like the DMV and IRS, or HR and school admin jobs. It's why they're always a gaggle of underqualified clucking hens that make life insufferable for everyone around them. The OG DEI hire, as it were.

Actually curious. Only 10 holdings in xre. It’s going to be reduced to 8 holdings, if HR and go get done, as CHP is acquiring FCR.

Well. I guess finally HR.UN saga is resolved after decade plus of working to simplify themselves.
$12.01 implied kind of sucks.

It's a registrational trial. iow a red light greenlight for fda approval. the trial already has a defined requirement, .636 hr or better, and the FDA has approved it per the SAP.
Safety is not an issue, or manufacture. So the trial result HR is clear cut approval decision - that would give gps the ability to treat 50k remission patients each year, and generate 10B dollars in real revenue, that is worth much more than 5x the current co value.

>shouldn’t this stock price trend up to 12 dollars for the buyout rather than go down?
Normally yes, but the $12.01 isn't a guaranteed cash buyout. You're getting $4.28 cash + 0.5688 GO.U shares, so when GO.U drops, the value of the package drops too. The market is basically pricing HR.UN based on what those shares are worth today, plus some risk that the deal doesn't close.

They will ask about your experiences.
But beware buddy, these guys are extreme low ballers. They have basically no idea what they are doing.
They had my resume since day 1 which means they always knew my total experience, still they took 3 online test rounds and eventually in this 20 min meeting the HR said we can only offer 8 LPA.
I was like, seriously are you even listening to yourself? 8LPA to a 10 years exp. guy.

Why is HR down 11 percent today? I get this isn’t awesome news long term but shouldn’t this stock price trend up to 12 dollars for the buyout rather than go down?

BSP is a measure of the worth of CEOs and marketing.
BSP is saying the age of agentic AI is making them worthless, so they can just coalesce the top few expensive roles and automate them.
The Marketing, HR, and Executive consistently provide the no value and only cost to these pipeline companies. BSP is on to something by just going through and buying companies to fire their C-Suite.

The jump from BI to quant dev is a big one, HR filters are brutal on that. Your resume screams data analyst not C++ dev, the hiring manager scanning it for low-latency experience is gonna see Python and SQL first and toss it. Ditch the AI tailoring and rewrite the whole thing to lead with C++ projects, multithreading, and any systems-level stuff you’ve touched, even if it was just a side project.

Your problem is that open source models exist that you can run on your local computer for free. They also aren’t hindered by public company HR rules.

OP makes a decent point about enterprise though. That's where the real money is. The really egregious stuff like token usage leaderboards will go away but Anthropic will be nickel and diming companies so that Beth in HR can AI summarize all her emails.

No idea about the UK, but in the US your entire past compensation history is available on systems like TWN. Not all recruiters & HR teams will bother to check, but it definitely can be checked.

Thanks for all your continued input into SLS - full disclosure, still heavily invested sadly more towards the top (2,006 at $12)
What’s the strongest plausible BAT scenario you can construct in terms of mOS and 3-year OS/long-survivor fraction, that still fits the known 60/72/78 event timing? And under that scenario, what final HR does the model produce? I’m mainly trying to understand how much of the unusually long trial duration could realistically be explained by BAT rather than GPS.
What evidence or result would actually make you conclude that the cure-fraction/GPS-tail model itself is wrong, rather than the model simply accommodating it through a stronger BAT assumption or different survival distribution? Basically, what would falsify the model for you?
How do you get comfortable with 99.9% PoS when we still don’t have the unblinded BAT data? Since the event counts are pooled, how much of that confidence comes from assumptions about BAT rather than directly observed trial data? I'm leaning more towards 65-75% with a HR of 0.50
Thanks in advance, i know you get asked the same things over and over, apologises in advance if this is!
