The AI major (from what I've been told from two former foster parents of mine who do hire in tech) seems like it's treated as a CS major, but just specialized in AI. It's not really stopped me at all from getting interviews and mostly just regular CS, HCI, and AI kids get the major AI lab, FAANG, and quant jobs (math kids get some, since they take CS classes often, and robotics kids and comp bio kids don't apply to the same areas as the rest of us do).

All of them, bro. I applied to as much as I could have (like hundreds): AI labs, big tech, quant, startups, random tech companies, etc. The whole shebang. I'm a AI major, though, but HCI majors, regular CS ones, Robotics, and comp bio are still getting insane jobs.
