Yeah I mean I'm not saying there is or isn't a case to be made for CPRT, but things like this tend to have major, lasting negative effects on investor sentiment.
For a more dramatic example look at FISV. The top management was rotten to the core and basically cooked their books to mislead investors. There's probably enough people who got burned hard enough that you're unlikely to see institutional money inflows into their stock for years, if ever again. Is it cheap now? Probably. But it'll stay cheap for a very very long time.

Market usually goes down in september and now with trump in charge he will also push the market down even more to buy cheap and bounce back lateelr in the year..
I think FISV and Verizon are good, but Charter a bit more risky.. They are more like good R/R bets then pure investments IMO..
Also accepting higher volatility is the way to go if you want to hit above avg returns, its ompprtant that its done with strong fundamentals and moat.. GL
