Sniffing profitability this early is actually a sign they underspent, and the penalty for not pre-paying for compute is they have to pay compute inflation later.
Tldr: COO got lazy, which could cost them the lead to OpenAI.

Don’t love it but if you’re the new COO and CFO why come here? There are more pieces to the puzzle that we’re not privileged to. We also need capital. Cheers and enjoy the weekend. Heading to Boston to see my favorite - Chris Stapleton.

I still rate this issue CAVEAT EMPTOR.
Yesterday the complexion of the release and recent fundraising makes me feel that the board has come around to its fiduciary duty and I added in the morning.
The stock sold off on less follow through from prior marketing approaches, and sales substantially below COGS.
My initial interest in this science relates to in-laws who could substantially benefit from efficacy of the treatment approaches, particularly, organ remodeling.
Future catalysts include:
\- defense spending in the September congressional bill;
\- new expert advisors, sales staff, and COO
\- capital reduction campaign
\- IND for bypass graft
I am size managed and in it for the science, and others who may beneift.
To get to this point: 2 marketable products and 2 indications I estimate we are at almost $1 billion of capital investment against a market cap of $148 million - some of it wasted on frivolity, no doubt, in their prior era, so maybe $800 million after adjustment.
This is the nature of the value proposition.
CAVEAT EMPTOR.

Denise Dresser joined as OpenAI's Chief Revenue Officer in December 2025 from the Slack CEO job to run global revenue across enterprise. In April she absorbed most of Lightcap's COO responsibilities.
So: hired December, given the operating chief's portfolio in April, gone by August. Roughly eight months.
Senior enterprise-sales executives don't leave a pre-IPO AI company eight months in unless something is wrong either the enterprise revenue trajectory isn't what she was told, or she lost an internal fight over how commercial the company becomes. She was hired during what Altman had internally declared a "code red," specifically to build stable enterprise-grade revenue. That mandate leaving the building this fast is information that OpenAI is falling apart.
