I had my ADA on Yoroi, did not know it changed to SecondFi. When migrating in want a password, but since i have not used SecondFi before i have not setup a password or pin for that account, so which password is it? My Yoroi one? And there is different guides to use the recovery phrase depending on Yoroi og SecondFi. Have tried to contact the support function on SecondFi, but they are not answering. Have created a Lace wallet now ready to mov.

My understanding is that if the wallet was created in Yoroi but the SecondFi app was forced on you and then you made a transaction, in my case added some ADA and redeemed some NIGHT, then the hackers were able to gain access to your wallet. Once it has been compromised that's it, it doesn't matter which software interface you use to access that wallet they still have access. Opening the SecondFi app will show if your wallet was compromised.

Yeah but not the negative tone about charitable giving. It just seems bitter. It’s like people who are anti government. They assume all this waste but once you work in public service you realize it is hard to not be a bit wasteful because you want to pay union wages for work, treat people fairly so spend on things like ADA accessibility and translation services. Nothing in life is simple and clean cut and some people assume bad motivations for normal stuff like organizations have overhead costs, insurance costs etc.

The hackers still have access to all compromised wallets. It doesn't matter which interface you use to recreate the wallet they'll still drain it immediately you put something in it. Within minutes of my 4th NIGHT thaw being available they added enough ADA for the transaction then immediately withdrew the ADA and NIGHT.

Yeah, exactly.. Would my best best be to make new wallets, other with the seed used in yoroi and send all the ADA in one go to another wallet. People have done this according to other reddit posts but Im on the edge about it. What if the hackers interfere with the transaction?

We're told repeatedly never enter your recovery phrase online yet SecondFi want you to enter your recovery phrase as part of their recovery process to prove it is your wallet. As I've already decided that I've lost my ADA and NIGHT from this wallet is it safe to enter the recovery phrase?

Governments will cheer for people who fear, and for people who believe that its "regulations" are effective and for their benefit. On the bright side this does not apply to ADA itself but threatens to centralize all of the projects that implement the CIP who no doubt will do so in the name of compliance to be able to publicly offer their products.

My situation is that I had a hardware wallet connected and also a hot wallet created in yoroi. Hardware wallet was a no brainer, no funds lost. The thing and dilemma is that I had a hotwallet created in yoroi with some ADA on it. Created it in 2023 something and havent used it since. Other reddit post and SecondFi updates give mixed signals and messages, some to wait for the recovery program, not to withdraw in any situation, others to withdraw funds since wallet created in yoroi not updated to secondfi arent affected. Havent used Secondfi, but the yoroi app in my phone has automatically updated to SecondFi. Havent opened it tho. How to proceed?

I hope it's made in a very safe way that couldn't be abused for scams. I liked how I could not care about touching any Cardano tokens, and even make a little bit of ADA from sending randomly received scam tokens to a CEX. Should we worry that touching random tokens might be dangerous now? If there are protections or impossibilities against such abuse, how does it work?

What makes you think ADA has 10x potential from here? What are you looking at fundamentally?

Sure. Take a regulated USD stablecoin or a tokenized bond. Today the issuer runs compliance in their own backend and the chain has no idea. With CIP-0113 the issuer attaches a rule set (called a module) to the token itself, and the Cardano ledger checks it on every transfer, mint and burn. The rules the standard supports, in plain terms: * **Allow-listing:** only wallets that passed KYC can send or receive the token. * **Deny-listing:** addresses on a sanctions list can't transact it. They can still hold it, they just can't move it. * **Transfer restrictions:** things like holding periods or which jurisdictions or counterparties a security can go to. The check runs once per transaction, no matter how many tokens move, so fees stay predictable. And the issuer can swap modules as regulation changes without reissuing the token. Worth being clear: these are the issuer's rules, not Cardano's. It only applies to tokens whose issuer opts in, ADA and existing native tokens are untouched. The standard is open source and the rules run on-chain, so an issuer can't hide what a token enforces. Just did this, and there is an easier way to manage ADA. Your ADA is always available, the Yoroi Wallet is not ideal anymore so to it being decommissioned.  Would recommend using a new wallet. I like VESPR, great mobile app.  1. Download VESPR app 2. Restore wallet in VESPR 3. Go to rewards 4. Too right, tap Mag-glass 5. Review all the other staking pools to choose from You should keep the ADA staked, unless you are selling everything.  Good luck!
