You say you strictly focus on shorting, how "strict" are you about that, like 90% of your trades are short, 80%? 70%? And how do you handle the days where price is trending up, but you still have a short bias? Do you also use VAL VAH POC as entries?

Sobrang helpful. Sobrang dami kong di alam sa insurance and VUL (and VAL and UL) world. This definitely gives me a better idea. Thank so much! Will visit a Sunlife client center this coming week to get more details.

Hello OP Financial Advicer here pero for a different provider. Here are my two cents sa situation mo.
The owner/insured (your mom) has a NDB (Net death benefit) thats why she took it in the first place now the NDB is consistent of the Death benefit (usually the face value of the policy) + any dividence earned or investment earnings payable to the time of death to the benficiary / beneficiaries.
You also have the option to cancel the policy for its cash value (thats usually portion of total premiums paid + dividence / investments earned) payable to the owner.
Now if you are to keep the policy and have the insurance do its thing.
Here are the things I suggest you make sure na maayos before her passing, best check who the beneficiary is tao ba ito o institution and make sure that the benefiary is capalable of accepting the NDB living of right mind and or if trust the trust is active lastly make sure everyone is in agreement na the bene is who or what it should be for a smoother payout.
If you are to cancel the policy while she is living usually have a POA ready if she not able to sign forms pero if she still can assist her in filling out the cancelation docs.
Now if need nyo ng funds before her passing but want to keep the policy active to help out with her daily needs you can do a fund withrawal or dividend withdrawal for her just make sure you have a POA active para you can do it for her pero if she can still sign form help her with them nalang.
Now if the policy is a investment type UL (universal life) or VAL (Variable appriciable life) and you want to make more you have the option to change you stock options din.
Its also best to speak with a licensed financial advicer for the company not the guard kasi medyo sketchy ung advice nya tbh.

I'd recommend agaisnt paying the account reset. Even profitable I don't believe it's worth it unless you have a great consistency % at maintaining xpress accounts.
I personally would just buy 2x 50k accounts and go slow with those to rebuild the habits and try to be consistent.
I don't really "use" volume per say. I have it on and may keep an eye on it but it rarely is a deciding factor in anything.
I tried and messed a bit with VAH and VAL but didn't really find it helped me, but I know alot of people seem to like it. I think the key thing is to just stick with the same indicators once you find some success so you can build feedback off of those.
I tried copy trading some accounts but found the psychological weight of it threw me off. I usually like to have 3 seperate accounts and I'll trade different trades on all 3 throughout the day. I might make a trade at 1030AM on one, take a break. Trade again at 1100ish on the other. Take a break, and then do a final trade later. This has worked for me.
When I tighten my trading some more I might try and copy trade 2 accounts together and then another 2.
