STO UNH 9/18 380 @ $6.29

35% CAGR, 6 years, lump sum into good companies at attractive valuations. Don't overcomplicate it. It's an easy market to make money right now so if you're not beating it now you probably won't in the future.
The last years had opportunities in Amazon, Google, Microsoft, UNH, and AMD, all very well known companies. A very average person should have been able to have done well.

i bought a lot of UNH, LLY, and calls on ABT yesterday. This rotation gonna be sweet

Did full port Meta in 2022 100k became $700k in few years, did GOOG and UNH last year totally near 2m
Now I am in saas bucket:- TEAM, MSFT, ORCL (yeh nah yeh)

What is their moat exactly? There were multiple instances of "hit pieces" and then their accountant resigned. You have to assume cyclical growth on data center spend unless Skynet takes over for real.
It's not like I won't invest in an unethical company, I was 30% in UNH

I have a UNH LEAP, it’s been sideways but it was one of only three green stocks in my LEAPS port today 
Was tempted to sell,  but I 
guess it’s a decent diversifier.

Can UNH just stay up for once?

Buying UNH sort of makes sense for Berk, but Adobe doesn't at all.
That said, buyig UNH is also buying a massive headache and regulatory burden.

IMO they could have deployed 300b of it recently
200b to have bought UNH outright at one point
100b to buy Adobe (was trading for 80b for a bit)
Would have increased their cash flow yield significantly.
Could have bought some MSFT at <400s
As of this second, I still think they should buy Adobe outright, if they can for under 300.
And then idk what for the rest of the cash, the “obvious” deals in my eyes are gone

Why does the S&P chart for UNH stock comparison (Total return compared with S&P 500 total return) look diff. than it does with the T stock comparison? I’m looking at the momentum graphs within Seeking Alpha app. The S&P 500 looks like a straight blue line with the UNH comparison - but like a climbing blue line with the T comparison.

They also sold UNH at the bottom before it jumped 50%.

Yeah I’ve been doing this for a little over 5 years now. 190% returns in my brokerage and 170% returns in my Roth. S&P has been like 85-90% in same time frame. I usually wait for larger dips though. Recent trade was MSFT in the $300s. Already up like $34k in that trade. Loaded up on meta after its earnings sell off and waiting now. Previous trades were Nvda on dips, UNH, CNC, GOOGL, etc. I usually inverse Reddit. When Reddit was saying AI would kill google search 2 years ago I was loading up. Price drives sentiment so reverse sentiment usually works pretty well. This subreddit hates trading so I’ll probably get downvoted but if you’re willing to buy and wait it out you can make some serious money with this strategy. Especially if you stick to solid names that pretty much always recover eventually. This subreddit might as well be r/bogleheads though. I even dip my toes into some options as well. Usually buy calls that expire in 12-18 months and hold them for about a year. Made 200-350% on CNC calls. Bought a call on NOW when it was in the low $90s that I’m now up over 60% on. The key with options though is to keep it to a small portion of your portfolio. Like 1-2% and never bet more than you are willing to lose. This subreddit hates options too so bring on the downvotes lmao but leaps are the best way to play options if you’re going to play

I made a boat load from NVDA, GOOG, UNH, MSFT in the last few years.
So yes... But if I had bought NFLX?

I hold UNH long in my RRSP. I like it.

Guess people rotated out of UNH real quick
