Do you have small amounts of THC mixed in with your CBD? There is an entourage effect where even just a little bit of THC makes CBD more effective and vice versa I believe.

I guess that is where the "relative abuse potential" and "physical and psychological dependence" liability comes in. I can only speak for myself, but I never really felt addicted to CBD. I only dabbled in the THC aspects when I was younger. I am now focused on the CBD oils and gummies for arthritis pain relief as well as occasional sleep (relaxation) assistance. But never felt addicted or dependent.
This is what has been so frustrating over the last ten years. My personal experience has been nothing but positive. I am thankful I can manage some arthritis pain with CBD rather than 6 Tylenol a day (and the liver damage).
If this does not spit out of these hearings as hardcore Schedule 3 I am finally going to throw in the towel on this sector. It is not CBD or THC that is the real issue, it is the close minded people and useless politicians that are the root of this clusterfuck.

No. That's only what went on to place immediately with that order. This hearing is for cannabis the plant. They could limit THC but not how it's sold.

Conservative mid to large cap dividend payers: **Heathcare**: SNY, THC, HCA; **Finance**: PAGS, TBBK, PYPL; **Energy/oil**: SU, TS; **Security**: BCO, ADT
Deep value small caps: **Energy/oil**: REI, AMPY, EGY; **Gold**: GAU, DRD, CMCL; **Green transition**: TOYO, CDLR; **Software**: CINT; **Biotech**: CRMD
Very speculative microcaps: **Gold**: HYMC, GLDG, **Agriculture inputs**: GRO
Only THC & TBBK are above their 20d SMAs & 50d SMAs, at this moment. Still finding their bottom. With perhaps the exception of perhaps the energy/oil stocks, I wouldn't consider the others for an entry until someone else has caught all the knives.

A 1 or 2 position portfolio is choosing risk of losing a substantial portion. A more reasonable portfolio is 10-20 stocks, with no more than 20% exposed to any one industry. Diversification is the only free lunch in investing.
Personally, I'd opt for a foundation of value stocks that offer some protection against market-wide multiple contraction through low current valuations, revenues increasing at least as fast as inflation, and high free cash flow yield that is being spent on dividends and share buybacks.
Some options I'm considering for my mother's account. Security: Brink's (BCO), ADT (ADT); Finance: PagSeguro (PAGS), PayPal (PYPL), The Bancorp (TBBK); Healthcare: Sanofi (SNY), Tenet Healthcare (THC), HCA Healthcare (HCA), energy: Suncor (SU), Tenaris (TS).
Of these, only TBBK and THC are in current uptrends. The energy stocks SU and TS may be a special situation, as the war's impacts unfold. I'd hold off on the others until at least they're above their 20 day simple moving averages, and preferably both 20 and 50 d SMAs.
You don't have to buy a market that's teetering at the edge. Cash stashed in a short term treasury ETF (like SGOV or BIL) will retain nominal value and return a 3.5+% yield, while you're watching stocks you'd like to establish positions in find support. Optionality is itself extremely valuable in choppy or bear markets.
