I don’t think the people in this chat realize how rare it is to see the company that they’re talking about on these platforms in these groups with them, keeping an eye on their brand image and helping clarify these little discrepancies.
A few years ago, this dude on TikTok was talking about the CEO of Savers Mark Walsh, and called him out by name several times on his videos. Not once did the CEO ever address the person and try and clarify what was going on. The guy opened up for six weeks on TikTok, posting daily, behind-the-scenes grotesque activities and waste that the business was involved in.
Their stock plummeted that year from $19 down to whatever it is now. The ticker is SVV. Swear to God that guy changed their perceived value on the stock market in just six weeks of posting the behind-the-scenes stories of what he had captured in the 15 months he was working there before being fired for trying to help a museum somewhere here in the states.
I imagine if that company was doing what you guys are doing here and now, they could’ve probably saved their brand. Instead, their CEO Mark Walsh doubled his salary from $2 million that year to now $5 million just a couple years later. The whole reason he went famous was because he was discussing how they offered him $.46 as a raise after breaking his back and becoming forklift certified so he can drive more product around and pick up more responsibility for the store. And they treated him like shit.
I guess in the end, he went out swinging. Because now their stock value is down down down. SVV ticker.
