They are the same thing I terms of weight and purity (well, maples are 9999 and everything is practically is 999, but it makes no difference in terms of $)
Maples are bulletproof. Seen as top tier billion globally , extremely difficult to counterfeit, instantly recognizable to buyers/sellers, they are the gold standard (no pun intended) of silver bullion. That being said, *all* pure silver is worth the same at the end of the day.
I like TD bars, but I don’t really like bars unless they are 10oz+. That’s strictly personal preference. That’s kind of a fun aspect to stacking. It’s purely economical on one hand, but you can do it your own way and get really deep into all sorts of producers, sizes, vintages, etc. Or you can avoid all that.
You didn’t make a mistake at all. Now it’s just a jumping point to learn more about it all. Congrats on your first ounce!
