Well no, at this price you’d need almost no drop post RS for it to make sense. Many here believe there will be buying opportunities, as there always have been w this company. In fact, that’s the one rule.

Thats another 20% down from here. Not exactly a "small" percentage. And well under the $5 thresholds commonly stated as the institutional minimum share price to buy in. That could honestly happen by the end of the week at this rate. Followed by the typical post RS beat down, could be looking at a $50m market cap company next week.

I grabbed a little over 4,000 shares today. Not a big chunk really, just whatever a $1k transfer into my account from Friday would buy. Sure, after the RS, we may see a bit of pullback, but who knows. I don’t have the time to pay much attention to the price every day to try and time some post RS bottom.

Right now the price won’t even see $4. Current post split price is around $3.75, and they made a point to talk about how we would get new institutional investors once we did the RS and were above $5. Jokes on us.

I believe the price will drop after the RS to sub $4, it makes no sense to buy now imo.

I certainly hope you have good instincts about this. However, once the RS hits on Aug 3rd I would expect more selling pressure so wouldn't it make more sense to wait until after the RS to acquire more shares instead of right now?

In this market, keep the size small. Make sure there is volume & incoming volume. Check RS, Charts history, make sure the float is not too large, location, AI check on dilution. Cash out on a green spike.

For sure! Either that or an Audi RS E-Tron GT. Same platform as the Taycan

I thought a lot about James Byun coming over to us from Avea. Looking at his past with Seyond and Avea, he has a great track record in closing partnerships in the auto sector. He started with Avea a few months after they did their RS and saw some amazing share price appreciation during his 2 years there. Somebody like this doesn't just come over to MVIS 1/10 the size (mkcap) because "he's getting a great salary" like somebody suggested. I think we're going to see our Nissan deal within the next few months. I would assume Nissan wanted to see that we had the financials in order for the partnership - rushed vote and RS.

Howd you find the upgrade from the 718 to the RS?

I would two step it: get a used M2/M3, used C8, used performance Audi, used AMG, Supra, Mustang, or whatever sports car you want early on, say a $50-80k budget. Work your ass off and enjoy it but plan to upgrade 5-6 years into attending-hood.
I’m a PA with two homes right now and got a preowned Audi S5 by time year 3 of ER work. It has been 5-6 solid years of fun and is a joy to drive everyday + tuned and sounds great. It has been paid off for a few years now. I’m at 135k miles and am trying to get to 200k miles while I save for a preowned RS or 911.

I’m not a doc but I am a big time car guy and spent way more on them when my net worth was minimal than I should have. Guess what? It worked out pretty well. I’ve sold almost every car I’ve owned for more than I paid for it. I think I’ve probably owned 40 cars in the last 10 years and have already gone through 5 so far this year. A combination of being forever on the hunt for unicorns and jumping on cars I thought were great deals.
Most people don’t know you can drive 911s and exotics for free, you just need to know what you’re doing. Spec is everything, know the market, figure out what makes something a good deal that puts you in the position to sell for more than you paid later on.
That said, the current exotic market is certifiably insane. 458/430/360/355/F12/812/599 selling for almost double what they were a year ago. Huracans and Gallardos are up. GT3/GT4/RS cars seem to keep going up by the day. Aston Martin Vanquish is great value and an amazing car.
To me the price of the car is less relevant than what am I paying for it now and what can I sell it for later?

Porsche 718 Spyder 3 years into attendinghood (NW probably 300k); upgraded to a Spyder RS last year, now NW probably 1.5m

Once I felt I had good control over my housing situation (bought a house) and the associated expenses I… had kids.
Once I felt I had good control of my kids and their associated expenses I bought a 911 for 150k… which was a major letdown.
Two years later I traded it for an approximately 250k Spyder RS, which was not a let down.
I bought the 911 when my net worth was probably only around 1m approximately 2 years after residency. I bought the SRS 2 years later when my NW was around 2m.
I don’t think having an expensive car really impacted me in any way, but the biggest potential issue in retrospect making sure a car payment would never make someone feel unable to take risks on ownership of things that are more important to long term financial outcome.
Ie you’d want to make sure you have a good track record and trajectory before pulling the trigger.

Currently sitting at 0.37 with a bigger float, heavily shorted. With random PRs it’s known runner, the objective here is to sell on the run ups.
 
With all that being said **Aug-4** catalyst can lead to gains.
