Dude the only risky stock you need is RDDT. RDDT & S&P.

If this were Facebook I would be more comforted. Think about it: RDDT is only one year younger than Facebook but it took them so long to reach profitability, unlike Facebook when was already profitable when they IPO-ed in 2012.
So my point is, I am optimistic about RDDT but we should buy RDDT with a plan, and not because it suddenly became popular again after it shot up 12% .
( I bought below 81 initially and I bought < 150 after I wrote about it)

I’m a huge fan of RDDT and entered at $140 and then doubled my position today - and long term I think Reddit has legs to really grow; AI has demonstrated that actual human interaction is key to driving one of the largest non coding value props. The big issue I see moving forward for Reddit is growing user base - I really would have hoped that Reddit being a top source on search results to drive use acquisition but that hasn’t really taken place and I’m not sure what strategies to leverage to achieve that and without it I think the other side of the equation is limited

A p/e of 43 means earnings MUST grow at 15% a year for the next 10 years. Meaning earnings must quadruple.
That is possible to do but it demands perfect execution.

In my last valuation, RDDT is worth around 300 to 400 in 5 years time.
Since this is a valueinvesting forum, we should buy RDDT at a good margin of safety. I previously advocated buying RDDT below $150.

No matter how hard I try to convince myself to buy something with high risk high reward, I end up chickening out.
The only stocks I own are Berkshire Hathaway, and some pharma/defensive plays like ABBV, WMT, V, KO.
I just watch my portfolio stagnate over the last couple of years, hardly beating inflation and underperforming the S&P500.
I literally had buy orders for RDDT, INTC, and MU one year ago which I canceled before they realized.
How to get some balls and buy those risky stocks?

one risks about RDDT's valuation imo is its long term Terminal PE (DAU \* ARPU + other revenues - costs): US DAU needs to reaccelerate for a clean rerate imo, if US DAU continues decelerating or even shrinks, the rerate will go the other way.
another is about the data deals - this one is complicated because most of the value in data now is about freshness, so it really becomes about whether RDDT can use this data to protect its upper funnel (LLM and search providers) while still getting paid on top of it
