In what universe is it "going to shit"? You mean "trading near its IPO price"?
If GameStop stock didn't rise because it was an incredibly performing company with strong fundamentals, then a decline of SpaceX stock from an all-time high does not have to be tied to some financial tragedy.
The Pentagon is increasingly tied to SpaceX now (including controlling the kamikazee drones it unleashed on Iran and presumably may do so again now that fighting is resuming) and NASA still has no way to get anything to the ISS other than the Dragon crew capsule. SpaceX is not "going to shit". They've got a lot of government business under their belt with huge upside potential for much more in the future.
But this sub is like an inverse meme stock sub when it comes to Elon Musk; y'all react as irrationally as apes do towards Ryan Cohen.
>On Tuesday, Evercore ISI initiated coverage of SpaceX with an Outperform rating and a $230 price target.
Analyst Kutgun Maral described SpaceX as "an extraordinary company on a real path to reshaping the future of humanity."
According to Evercore, the company has built a vertically integrated business that has established a near-monopoly on orbital access through reusable, low-cost launch technology.
The firm projects revenue and EBITDA to compound at 106% and 157%, respectively, through 2028, while forecasting margin expansion from 35% to 69%.

You’ll want to at least take a look at OUST.
It’s really solid for a smid cap.
Here are my three: NBIS, OUST, ELVA with a short thesis attached (my words, not AI). Literally, these are my largest investments.
I. NBIS - management is best in class, delivers and executes consistently, is shareholder friendly, has been together for decades, and are obsessed with winning. Hungry. Stock price will be counted in the thousands in a few years.
Avg analysts price target is upper $200s
Earnings: 6 August
II. OUST - Founder and CEO just gets it. His vision and follow through over the past 4-5 years has allowed Ouster to become one of the last surviving Lidar companies in the Western World.
TAM is growing, market penetration is still small, and really no one stands in their way (especially in traffic/smart infrastructure). The more you read the more you will like.
13 straight quarters of revenue growth
Break even likely next year
400mm cash. $0 debt
Sub 3bn dollar market cap.
This sensing company will 3x with Rev8 adoption and US smart infrastructure sensors and software.
Owns StereoLabs. Look them up.
Serves:
Deere, Komatsu, Volvo, Google, Field AI, Overland AI, NASA, and many, many more.
$36–>$90 within 18 months.
Earnings: 6 August
III. ELVA
Fantastic, safe, battery technology. Originally just for forklifts (serves Toyota), but now expanding to more verticals within Amazon warehouses.
This warrant deal with AMZN was just announced on 15 July and the stock popped from $7.87 to $14 on the news.
WELL, it’s back to $9s now and the Amazon warrants set a floor at $8.56
With their Jamestown, NY facility coming on line soon, scaling to 1-2% market penetration can result in a 10x over 5-10 years.
Currently trades at just 5.5x 2026 revenue.
Company is net profitable and is in great financial shape.
Amazon warrants exercise in entirety once they buy 280mm of product from ELVA.
Not only is that a fantastic revenue base for a 470mm dollar company, it’ll also provide up to 117mm in capital through warrants exercised…and I can think of worse things than AMZN having a 15-20% equity stake in your company.
Raymond James just upgraded PT to $22 on the news.
Earnings: mid August

I spewed all this info off the top of my head.
That’s what it takes for high conviction holding.
Nebius has already 10x’d from some of my buys.
I think all three companies have a legitimate 5x potential from here over a 3-5 year timeframe.

It was indeed. Growing up I had nasa themed shorts and hat. These days NASA subcontracts most of their work. When was the last time we saw NASA take lead on any major missions. Most of the Artemis work is contracted out. Outside of some research work there is notfriends.

80s 90s and 00s..mostly80s and 90s, NASA was very popular with me and my frinds and public. These.days people just dont have interest ad they.did in the past.

If you think about it, the people that NASA was using and still uses are kinda worse than SpaceX. All those contractors are also merchants of death and help keep us a military industrial complex. So SpaceX ended up not only developing rockets way faster and relatively cheaper than those contractors, but they, for now, have wayyyyy less actual blood of innocents on their hands. But that's harder to see than Elon making retarded tweets.

I'm in NASA at $27. Purely speculative as it's only 5% of my portfolio. More a curious purchase as I think Starlink will eventually take over the Internet industry and eventually SpaceX will start putting satellites in space with big military contracts.
I'm looking at a 5-10yr hold.

I understand the eagerness for an inverse but yeah, still early.
A lot of derisking is likely because of the escalated US/Iran war, slowed shipping through the strait of hormuz, earnings not meeting impossible expectations, and derisking cascading through Asia. NASA could keep declining or flip on a dime at this point if Trump declares one of his infamous peace deals.
The weirdest part to me is how well the S&P500 has held the past couple months even though Semis took a nose dive. I was expecting the S&P500 to be -5% by now but it's only a -2% from ATH. Feels like there is more room to go down until a floor is established for the broader risk on market.

How big of an industry is private space flight in the next 20 years? Sure, launching sattelites is one thing, but demand has been so low they made Starlink as an excuse to launch more rockets. Anything beyond that is dependent on NASA contracts which SpaceX's leadership has been influential in dismantling. There is a reason SpaceX's IPO focused so much on xAI, because even they can't BS the outlook on private space flight to make it look good in any reasonable timeframe
