I paid for Danelfin from January to June 2026. Their AI Score is supposed to rate stocks by the chance of beating the market over the next 3 months. Before cancelling, I checked whether it actually worked.
**Method:** I took their daily "Top Rated US Stocks" emails: the first one I received (Jan 27) plus 10 picked at random from Feb–May. From each email I took the top 5 stocks, 55 picks in total. I compared each stock's 3-month return (with dividends) to SPY over the same dates.
**Results:**
* Only **10 of 55 picks (18%)** beat the S&P 500 over 3 months.
* The picks averaged **−7.6%**, while the S&P 500 averaged **+6.2%** over the same windows.
* **None of the 11 five-stock baskets beat the market** over 3 months.
* Over 6 months (or up to today for newer picks), 15 of 55 beat the market. On average they still trailed it by about 11 points.
**What I noticed:** The model kept repeating the same sector. From Jan–Mar it was almost all gold and silver miners rated 10/10 (KGC, EGO, AGI, PAAS, Barrick), and they fell 10–35% while the market rose. In May it rated Vale 10/10 for weeks while Vale kept falling. It seemed to follow recent momentum and missed when the trend turned.
**Caveats:** It's a small sample over one period, and it was a rough stretch for precious metals. Still, their marketing says Score-10 stocks beat the market by about 21% a year. My results were far from that.
