Some very odd comments in this thread. The reason is simple, look at their downstream clients. Take for example HUN who sells Polyurethane and its derivatives to constructuon and auto’s. When demand is lacking, capacity is still there thus margins get under pressure. Same goes chemicals in general, they have to sell it to someone.

Any thoughts on at what point it becomes too cheap to ignore?
or when bonds start trading for a discount as a signal
