Good choices! What is DOW? I am on the fence about Clorox I own Abbvie for that month and I have a huge gain. I’d make more with Clorox but I wanna let the wins ride!

For dividends (as a German) I prefer (and have all of these in my portfolios): Allianz, Altria, AT&T, AXA, BASF, BMW, Comcast, Deutsche Euroshop, DOW Inc., DWS Group, Engie, Ford Motor, Freenet, Hannover Re, ING Groep, Mercedes Benz, Munich Re, Nordea Bank, Pfizer, Porsche, RTL Group, Swiss Re, Telefonica, Veolia, Verizon, Volkswagen, Vonovia, Zurich Insurance.
All of them have at least a 4% dividend yield. I would maybe skip the European automobile makers atm since they are going through a crisis/restructuring but the insurance/finance/telco stocks are all great, reliable dividend providers.
Note that EU companies usually only pay dividends annually and most of them in May. There are some exceptions like Telefonica which pay theirs 2x/year in June and December.
I'm getting \~€30K/y from these dividends (net income after \~26% taxes). It is a very nice passive side income and I like the mix of the quarterly and annual dividends.
Most of these stocks have also significantly increased in value as I have been holding them for years. Well, except for said automobile stocks which are down a lot from when I bought them but I don't care as long as they keep paying those sweet dividends which still yield between 4% and 7% on my invested capital. And one day there will be a return of the automobile stocks. Just gotta sit it out, sack the dividends and be patient.

**Thursday floater, now back from my bike ride**
A provocative title for some, my thinking is the market is just indecisive so far today and can go either way. I do see the QQQ and SPY improving and moving closer to going green which is REALLY a good thing,. the VIX is on the edge of destruction here at the 15.40 level and the 15.30 level has been when it has had a sharp inflection and the market has tanked the last couple of times, so I am really wanting to see it move up just a little bit as the indices improve. The DOW and S&P have been setting ATH's so a breather is in order but I would much prefer to see it be something like a slow sideways day or two rather than some sharp adjustment for a change. This market has been unrealistically volatile.
It is a nice surprise to see AMD and MU modestly green this morning and NVDA down less than 1% as I catch up this morning. I also see SNDK has recovered substantially from the big knockdown after earnings. While still red it is now 1/3 of its initial drop.
I will weigh in on the AMD discussion. I can see AMD finding the lower Bollinger Band which is sitting at 440 on the daily charts. Of course if we get a BIG blowup in Iran, we might have a catalyst that takes us lower. All of he MA's for AMD are nearly converged and moving very slowly toward a positive slope in a slow and controlled manner, I am not sure that is either positive or negative, but it is better than being in a falling slope pattern. We will have earnings coming from MRVL, LITE, NVDA and MU with MU coming near the end of September that will or might keep the AI trade balls in the air some. NVDA is near the end of August. The interesting news might come from MRVL and LITE as those are stocks that are critical to rack solutions and high performance bandwidth optical connectors supporting clusters of GPU racks.
One other wildcard for the end of the year which will really be reported in calendar 2027 is the end of year CAPEX dump that could benefit AMD. At the current course and speed most AI CAPEX investment is at a steady run rate and throwing more money at it really doesn't buy more processing now. This opens the door for AMD to benefit from some potential CAPEX dollars being available for DC buys.
The SPX remains near or above the 7700 mark so far and if we just hold onto that through the end of the day, that might be fine. Higher is always better for the indices.

Really curious to me AAPL keeps trading more like a DOW component than QQQ, do you see that continuing?
