I personally don't touch meat companies, or trade cattle or hog futures because I am a vegan.
So the process I would use is to define what is ethical to you as a trader, and then using AI or old fashioned research to find out if the instruments you hold have any exposure to those.
Then you can create a universe of instruments you consider ethical, and build positions and strategies only off those names.
So for example if you care about clean energy can boycott XLE and USO and trade indices like ICLN (clean energy), PHO (water) or TAN (solar)
