You confirmed a HTF breakout off the 1hr TF?
What about quarterly cycles
Is the market still ranging ?
Lol i was tryna allude to why are you basing a HtF breakout of 1hr BOS
Also there are 4 main markets- ranging, trending. Retracing, reversals
GA/EA are in bullish accumulation/ranging market so you are right on buys but the environment is currently a range meaning breakouts typically won’t happen so taking buys is cool but trying to hold won’t happen often

Make a mql5 EA and trade it yourself. Pretty sure it won't be that profitable

[forexbot.gr](http://forexbot.gr/?fbclid=IwcGRvZgVleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFxUXNEa3p5cklPNUNHUTRic3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHrkS7ECcGQhQIwxMmUIJ39ds4dBb5TX3rVfmtflCpEHycZHAzry5_9UyAzpH_aem_RFDxwLPx11m4b_r_ts7gDA) has developed an MT5 FX EA trading all Major and Minor pairs. No optimization, with mt5 calculation of spread and slippage, without extra deposit to keep it alive or martingale systems. And of course compounding every profit. It is supported by the entire available historical data (18 years) with over 10,000 trades, and over 2 years of Live trading with 300 trades. It survived all kind of market conditions. Not only 2008, 2010, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020 , 2022, 2024 but even the long low volatility periods like 2012-2014 2017-18 2025-26 . The 300 Live trades matches the Backtest of the same date. As on live there are only 300 trades, and on backtest there are 10,000 , doesn't that means that the backtest matters more than live?

Recently i published my first US500 EA, got negative reviews from redditors seeing the dips on crash..
Behind it to crack that things...result is not just controlling Drawdown but, dose dips converted into huge profits spikes..
Really hardwork paid off. Yet to update the latest version onto mql5

Yea. I've been using this EA that's killing it right now. It's made me a lot less stressed.

That's good idea, I say create EA it's so easy, the hard part is create and find good set files that works well more than 2-3 months

I've subscribed to a couple AI services.. directed them to mql5 market to gather EA descriptions.. then downloaded the EA to "backtest".. sent .log files to AI so it can be reverse-engineered.. performed visual backtests, sent screenshots as well.. verified to match with their original backtest. Now I get every EA for free! Just takes me a day or so for AI to narrow it all down.

i just code a backtesting framework in python in VSCode whole folder contain diffrent .py files, each one do something, and the i test strategy on it then when i found a good strategy i turn the logic to MQL5 script and use it as EA 👍👍

The magical video game marketplace is even more unlikely than an actual eBay acquisition. If you are EA, what is the upside to removing consumers from your platform, sending them somewhere else, and cutting a third party in on your profits? Oh, and you get to pay to build the functionality to support it.
And what would you even trade? I very much doubt EA has the licensing rights to create products that you could sell on third party marketplaces for the games that drive most of their revenue.

It's one of the ideas, yes, tried an EA, then tried a python based, first just to backtest, then to scrap data and converge it, finally trying to build a bot to scalp, or swing in other markets like Europe, jpy or NY
But nope, nothing, no backtest, monte carlo, IS, OSS, have been positive
However I must be clear, its one of the ideas, trading manually, semi automatic and automatic its been on the map

The problem with you is you dont know the formula and you dont have the patience to be profitable. You can make a bot or an EA thats step one. You dont need 10% monthly. You just need it to be profitable to some extent. Once it can make at least 15% annually you are good to go. You can fit the bot to the rules of a prop firm for quick scaling before you use your personal funds. It would take time but at the end you would be profitable. You dont need to over fit the bot, just 2% a month is very ok

I bought the EA, did backtests on different brokers (eightcap, IC markets, and VT markets) and then asked for a refund since the backtest with real tick data did not match the live signal. The refund policy is voided if EA is used in a live account btw

Most strategies fail multi year tests because they overfit to noise and get killed by live spreads and execution latency. Long term profitability relies less on "magic indicators" and more on strict risk management and executing on a platform with tight raw spreads, low latency, and zero restrictions on automated EA trading.

Sure! It's a custom MT5 Expert Advisor written in MQL5, mainly designed for XAUUSD.
The bot is rule-based rather than simply letting AI make trading decisions. I use AI mainly as a development/debugging assistant, while the actual trading rules are coded explicitly.
One important part of the system is its recovery logic. The initial position starts small, and under specific conditions the EA can add another position to manage the basket. That's also the part I'm paying the most attention to during forward testing because increasing exposure introduces significantly more tail risk.

Buddy, your question doesn't even make sense. You'd backtest an MT4/MT5 EA with MetaTrader. The other things you listed aren't back testers, they're data downloaders. Your question should simply be: "how/where do you get tick data?"

EA went private for $55B this month — the largest buyout in history. ~$18B of it is debt secured on EA's own assets, serviced by your Ultimate Team packs
