Why would it be a game changer? You can buy bitcoin right now on many platforms and immediately withdraw it. But you've chosen to buy it on a platform that you specifically CAN'T withdraw from.
Fidelity already does it. You can buy bitcoin from Fidelity Crypto and withdraw to your own wallet. What game changed?

If you're newer to Bitcoin.....here is some telling news from the past week:
**Hold $60k and the floor stays solid.** Bitcoin has consolidated in this exact zone going back to 2021 and 2022. If the monthly closes above it, things start looking healthy.
**The capitulation read.** Relative long/short-term holder realized profit/loss to exchanges spiked to a level we haven't seen since Nov/Dec 2022, which marked the exact cycle bottom. We've seen multiple bitcoin bottom indicators flash over the last month.
**Institutional access keeps widening.** Morgan Stanley rolled out spot BTC trading on E\*Trade to roughly 8.6M clients. T. Rowe Price launched an actively managed spot crypto ETP with \~40% in Bitcoin. Both in the same week, in a bear market.
**South Korea.** Their new National Asset Basic Act brings digital assets under government asset management for the first time since 1950. This is a management law, not a strategic reserve. Pair this with Japan moving toward Bitcoin ETFs last week, and this becomes meaningful as Asia's biggest economies are quietly building Bitcoin into their financial systems.
**Debasement continues.** M2 money supply hit a new all-time high of $23.05T. National debt around $39.4T.
There is a lot of Bitcoin noise out there....I send out 5 charts, tweets, and takes every Sunday:

Okay, its not a rug pull thou since rug pull is a very specific scheme when you drive up the price and then dump your bags.
Also, they usually announce all those things very clearly if one bother to read the T&Cs. If they lock your funds it is almost always because you have done some shady buissniss.
Otherwise it says very very clearly once you register that you as customer are responsible for keeping track of changes in laws either local or Otherwise. So People blaming mexc for locking their accounts probably lacked the nessecary knowledge and/or neglected to read the terms before register wich is just plain stupid since the laws around crypto and other assets change on the Daily almost somewhere in the world.
Had they taken their responsibility they would not have been in that situation. I live in european union and I have not experienced any issues at all except restrictions on Fiat wich i knew were coming in advance since i read up on my obligations instead of crying about it after and blame the Exchange.

Because then the person he had so it would be making the illegal bets. The T&Cs call out you can't make any bets if you have confidential or insider information, or have any way to influence the bet itself.
I think the more relevant question is who cared about this and who called him out, because there is nobody enforcing these laws for the most part (i.e. the current admin isn't getting in trouble for doing the very same thing)
