Since we're doing "name one thing," here's the actual scoreboard:
NFT marketplace. Launched 2022 with Immutable X and Loopring as partners, dead by Feb 2024, citing "regulatory uncertainty." GameStop also dumped $47M of the $100M IMX token grant within a day of receiving it, not exactly a long term bet on its own initiative.
Bitcoin. Bought 4,710 BTC in May 2025 at a \~$109k average. It's now sitting around $63k. That's a real, disclosed loss on the balance sheet, not internet hyperbole.
eBay. Bid $56B for a company roughly 4 to 5x GameStop's own market cap, got called "neither credible nor attractive" by eBay's own board, spent months on it, and is now reportedly quietly pivoting to a much smaller "store partnership" instead. So the takeover that was supposed to justify all that dry powder appears to be over before it started.
Grading cardboard. $80 a card now that PSA's backlog forced its cheap tiers to pause. That's the current growth pillar.
None of that is literally "nothing." Money moved, deals got announced, press releases got written.
sentiment -0.79
