\> I try to get at least at least one task done for my real actual paying job but i just cant bring myself to do it after booting up my pc and seeing the 1000 folders on my desktop all named "ACTUALLY WORKING ALGO v17" or "READY FOR PROD" (spoiler: it wasnt) and thinking todays the day I make a prod script

There was a lot more hype. Scaramucci was on a lotta podcasts. He was also in a commercial where he compared ALGO completion speeds against other chains. I think that one even aired on the Super Bowl. And when I bought back then, I thought the tech was pristine.
I’d say as a grizzled crypto vet now, there are lots of factors that go into adoption. ALGO is lacking in many of them. They don’t market well. They’ve had management problems. They offer interest on Coinbase, then they yank that. I mean, there’s a new L1 every month, it seems like. A lotta them are shiny, new and do relentless self-promotion, even if a lotta them are bullshit. But some of them have great tech too, so ALGO has no advantage over those. No one’s gonna be waiting around for ALGO to learn how to play the game.
It’s sad because its tech really is special, but Betamax was better than VHS and VHS won.

There definitely more hype for ALGO was when I first go into crypto in 2020. They may be making moves but you have to get your name out there and let people know. This has always been the ALGO problem in my opinion. We all know the coins that can't do half of what ALGO can and they are hyped like crazy, but ALGO dropped the ball when they didnt keep their name out in front of people. I know retail doesnt run the show but the more talk the more eyes on the project. I still have a small bag, but things lately have me thinking about shifting away honestly.

Lots of good projects aren’t listed on Coinbase. They’re not the end all be all decider for what’s good or not imo.
That being said, I have a bunch of XCN as well. Low risk, high reward potential with XCN, ZBCN, XPR, and TFuel. Get 50,000-100,000 coins of each and chill. Could hit or bust but willing to gamble on these projects for less than $5000.
Ya projects like XRP, XLM, XDC, ADA, ALGO, and HBAR are great because they’re all ISO compliant. Also lump KAS into this category where my targets are around 5,000-10,000 coins of each.
I also like some LTC and LINK for stability, and some XMR for ultimate privacy.
Pepe is my go to meme coin. 100 million coins and chill. Also got some Veritaseum, Theta and XNO because why not.

I’d yeet some into ISO coins like XRP, XLM, HBAR and ALGO. I’d also buy some KAS, ZBCN, LINK and XMR for privacy but that’s just me.

>It's all about volume and liquidity in web3.
>Algorand definitely has all the ingredients to become the leading hub for DeFi, but first it needs to be attractive and, above all, usable/viable for large amounts of on-chain liquidity to flow in.
>On $SOL, $HBAR, $ADA … you can swap $1M on the native pair with little/no loss.
>On $ALGO, you can't do that without heavy slippage, simply because of low liquidity.
>This is an issue for two reasons:
>1# whales don't interact with the chain
>2# consequently on-chain trading volume remains low, which isn't appealing to web3 industry players who (unfairly) see Algorand as a second-tier L1, even when potential integrations (like CCTP from u/circle ) could hugely benefit to the chain
>Once $ALGO has more on-chain liquidity, and you can be sure the u/AlgoFoundation is working hard on this, $ALGO will take off. That's a no-brainer.
>We already have an amazing DeFi environnement with top-tier wallets and dapps, just waiting for the last ingredient!
>Some VCs could definitely help... Remember the dinner AF organized two months ago with 25 VCs? 👀
>It could be a win-win.
>More liquidity > More volume > More integrations > More visibility
>It's that simple.

I am not sure what this means. It could mean more liquidity provided by the foundation or it could be something like a concentrated liquidity market which allows more liquid markets than AMMs by concentrating liquidity around expected ranges.

I personally prefer building bigger positions. With smaller priced tokens it’s easier to stack more over time, and the ones I suggested (HBAR/ALGO) are still in earlier adoption phases compared to XRP, so there’s still some growth potential.

My [last post](https://np.reddit.com/r/WallStreetBetsCrypto/comments/1moky6y/if_this_bet_plays_off_im_going_to_hire_a_big/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) I made a commitment to the world. I got a lot of DMs and quite a fair few commentors asking about the play and why - so I want to put this out there to cement what I'm going to do and why.
I put £10k on a smallcap crypto, with the intent to double up. That's $13.5k for the republicans across the pond.
To outline my bet a little:
Firstly, yes this is some degenerate shit. At least I'm honest.
I've never been the shy type. I've had multiple girlfriends, short-term and long, and have been with women from all over the world. Having said that, I cannot stop thinking about paying an ultra-sexy woman for the hottest night of my life, just once. I'm literally just fixated on this shit and so needed to give myself a way to make it happen, but it has to be hard to do.
If I double my stake, from £10k -> £20k, I will hire the sluttiest blonde with bolt-on tits and lick her feet dry. My beautiful wife of 7 years will be none the wiser whilst I'm balls deep in some hoe. Terrible, yes, but I've always been a Judas, not a Jesus.
I spent a long while looking around online for the play. I knew I wanted it to be:
* Crypto
* Proof of Work (POW) and Fixed Supply to emulate the BTC value thesis
* Lowcap (loosely defined but not a behemoth)
* Well known dev or team (to protect from rugs)
* Preferably around last cycle (for same reason as above)
* Already hit a 52 wk high BEFORE NOVEMBER 2024 (following the BTC trend)
Basically, I ended up with a handful of coins left. XRP/HBAR crew sorry but it just doesn't qualify for what I was looking for.
You can see which one I picked in my last post.
I threw £10k at ERG @ $0.97. Currently down 1.5% but we ride it for now. I was a bit wobbly on picking it but seeing how LINK has done recently, and knowing the fella that made ERG is the same guy that co-founded LINK and worked on ADA - which is also doing well - it is giving me fucking hopium rn. Imagine if this shit just goes to a 400m market cap!! I would be fucking loaded man wtf. It would take nothing to get it there too... Idk is this gambling?????
I've put this out there because I'm open to critique or to some help in making this happen. If anyone thinks there's a better play to give better odds of a 2x, I'm all ears. I literally don't give a fuck what the play ends up being, as long as I get to fuck a dirty eastern european smoker with botox lips.
Do me a favour, and save the judgement. Literally no point in it. We're all here to be degenerate, I'm just asking for help in making it happen.
I have actually looked into the blockchain tech and there's literally nothing that stands out as an issue, granted I'm an absolute fucking idiot but still, it seems solid. Team have been working on it non stop, they have a dedicated community, strong DeFi ecosystem, even a goddamn marketplace where people buy and sell shit for Erg?? How is this thing NOT going to take off? I just only see the barrier to entry being an issue - they aint listed on US exchanges. But truly in my twisted mind all I see there is a crazy catalyst once it does happen, and it will - this shit would absolutely explode.
Searching twitter for Ergo, I've seen Kraken mention it a few times alongside some influencers and even [Charles Fucking Hoskinson](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fk2kMa1Ray4) has repeatedly spoken about it, calling it the 'spiritual successor to BTC'. IDK, when one of the OGs in the game, co founder of ETH, founder of ADA, keeps complimenting the tech on the coin.. it gives me hope that I'm going to be rubbing a Russian's toes against my balls soon.
If I make this, I will literally film a POV video for the hub of the back shots. Hell, I'll have her hold a fucking ERGO chart whilst I do it.
I'm throwing this shit out into the world and I'm gonna fucking manifest it!!1 I'm just a dog looking for his day.
Also any advice for smashing a brass ? (uk slang for a 'hooker'). Never done that before either and I'm worried my willy will look like ALGO's chart rn (sorry boys).

I'm not the kind of person to pick projects based on the tech because I, and frankly most people here, don't actually know what is good tech and what isn't. Everyone has a different opinion on what tech is good, but 99.99% of those people are not even close to being knowledgeable enough to actually know that.
I learned that lesson when I became one of the earliest ALGO bulls.on Reddit, then I realized no one wanted to develop on it or use it, that's when I saw how much was happening on Solana and sold my ALGO for SOL.
I invest based on usage/adoption and narrative. If the tech is actually good, you'll see traction in usage. People here say all these chains have such good tech, but if that were the case then devs(the people who should truly understand the tech) would actually be building on them.
LINK has plenty of usage but has been highly valued for as long as I can remember, so I don't see it as a compelling investment because of limited upside price-wise and basically already having a dominant market share with less growth potential beyond just net new growth in crypto.
SUI has modest adoption but is also already fairly highly valued.
HBAR is interesting but it's just too hard to tell which "partnerships" that they have are actually substantial and significant and none of its metrics are really that strong. It's at least targeting a different type of usage than most other chains but that's not enough on its own to make me take the leap.
