I would strongly suggest not buying options based ETFs.
They are all inherently flawed and there is no way around those flaws.
Go look at a long term chart of BMOs version of this (ZPW.TO) and ask yourself if you would sit through that, regardless of yield. Down 35% from 2015 - 2022.
The problem with put write strategies is during a sharp sell off the manager has a choice:
1. Take delivery of stock and run an all equity ETF (not their mandate).
2. Follow their mandate. Sell more options into the hole and risk permanent capital impairment.
No amount of management can avoid this flaw. At some point there will be a massive drawdown, they will chose #2, and you will needs years of yield to recover from it.
