Interesting point. (For the uninitiated, ZEQT has ZSP, ZMID, ZSML at 45/2.5/1.25%.)
But XEQT has XTOT (CAD) and ITOT (USD) at 28/5% for U.S. Market exposure, which one could argue is also needless.
The cleanest implementation in this regard would be VEQT with only 4 funds: VUN for U.S. Market exposure (at 45%).
So, if overall fund simplicity is your goal, VEQT would be the best choice wouldn’t it?
