Hi everyone,
I’ve been doing some research on ETFs and am feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options. I’m hoping someone here can help me understand the key differences between these funds:
• EFIV
• ESGC
• SPY
• VFV
• VGRO
• VUN
• XEQT
• XGRO
• ZGRO
Here’s what I know so far:
• SPY and VFV seem to track the S&P 500, but I’m not sure how they differ (aside from VFV being in CAD, which I prefer).
• VGRO, XGRO, ZGRO, and XEQT appear to be all-in-one ETFs, but I don’t fully understand how their allocations or fees differ.
• EFIV and ESGC seem to focus on ESG investing, but I don’t know if one has an edge over the other.
I’m investing for the long term (10+ years), and I’m okay with moderate risk. I’d love to hear:
1. What’s your experience with these ETFs?
2. Are there specific factors I should prioritize (e.g., fees, allocation, currency)?
3. Are there any hidden fees or tax implications I should be aware of, especially since I’m in Canada?
Thanks in advance for any insights or resources you can share!
