I replaced my aggregate bond fund (ZDB) with a combination of short-term laddered government (CLG), floating rate (XFR), and real return (ZRR) bonds. It’s more complicated but it’s purpose is resilience under the macroeconomic conditions I expected during the Trump administration—stagflation, supply shocks, etc.
