This is a welcome move, although I think it's probably case-by-case whether it's worth it to save $6.95 on a buy (and then again on a sell). For example they have CCBI.TO as the free bond index, and I see it also has a slightly lower MER than ZAG, but it's also low-volume and I just find funds like that annoying. That said, maybe this promotion will make the ETF more popular, which would then make me more likely to consider it.
