I went full port. I started with 8k and it wasnt enough so I took out a 44k HELOC against my mortgage. I gambled my way to 425k. had to pay taxes and lost some. early 2021 I started my full port. after I paid the loan back, paid taxes lost some money on gambles I was left with 167k. I full ported on RYCEY and held 100% rycey and only bought more rycey until March 2026 when I sold it all. at the end I had 1.9m and paid off my mortgage a week later.
no regrats.

And with that info you'd hope that you'd think to yourself.. "where are they going to get all the power for that"?
SMR's baby. One of the big reasons I love $RYCEY moving forward.

RYCEY passes all but the 40% gross margin, too much expense in the aerospace labor/parts

Why would you want to sell your Rolls-Royce shares?
If you bought in around five/six years ago you probably bought them at around £1 a share - today they closed at over £15. In anyone's books that a fantastic return on investment, but is there more to come?
JP Morgan and for that matter another investment bank, Jefferies, recently put out buys, both suggested the share price should be £18 - three pounds more than they are currently at. EG JPM said:
[JP Morgan lifts Rolls-Royce target to 1,800p after ninth successive beat | LSE:RR.](https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/1096483/jp-morgan-lifts-rolls-royce-target-to-1-800p-after-ninth-successive-beat-1096483.html)
There's talk of a hyperscaler investment for the SMR division which is apparently "imminent" - it was promised early this week, so far there's been no news but maybe tomorrow? The SMR that RR are building has so far won orders in the UK, Sweden and Czech Republic and apparently in terms of technology is way ahead of the competition. If these things work they will generate both sales and then plenty of income via service agreements and be a game changer.
[Rolls-Royce says defense, data centers and nuclear underpin next phase of growth](https://www.cnbc.com/2026/07/30/rolls-royce-earnings-q2-stock-defense-ai.html)
Best of all the company put out last week another set of results which easily beat estimates:
[Rolls-Royce Holdings plc - 2026 Half Year Results Press Release](https://www.rolls-royce.com/~/media/Files/R/Rolls-Royce/documents/investors/rr-holdings-plc-2026-half-year-results-press-release.pdf)
These included an increase in underlying operating profit which rose by 46% to £2.5bn with an underlying operating margin of 22.5%. Every division experienced higher profitability and revenue with what look like plenty of orders in the pipeline for the aerospace division while the power system section has orders stretching into 2028 and defence spending should be a steady earner for the next few years. Across Nato the plan is to gradually spend up to 5% of GDP on defence by the mid 2030s, that is just about a doubling of defence expenditure over a decade.
The results culminated in full year 2026 guidance being raised to £4.7bn-£4.9bn for underlying operating profit and a estimate of £3.8bn to £4.0bn of free cash flow.
It's true they took a hit after the attack on Iran however the company put out a trading statement in April pointing out that the effect had been minimal and things were back to normal and that was backed up last week's half-year numbers.
The shares go ex-div on Thursday at 6p a share which admittedly is low if you bought in recently, but if you've held since the pandemic era, as you have,0 then it should represent a decent percentage of your original investment
You didn't get lucky by buying in a few years back, far from it, whether you agree with me or not you made a shrewd and successful investment based on the company bouncing back after covid. That's paying off and continues to make money, adding another 22p today. Of course it's tempting to sell and bank what will be very good profits but the best advice I can offer here is to be patient, run your successes and let the value out. Rolls-Royce are an unusual company - they are both well established and mature and yet they are growing like a tech stock, albeit one that makes profits. I genuinely think they have further to run.
Sometimes the best decision is to do nothing and just hold.
