SPACs are incredibly complex.
This July deadline you mentioned - it can be extended via normal shareholder vote or sometimes even without a vote the sponsors can deposit more money in the trust and extend the deadline (see DWAC -> DJT). Or it can even be delisted and list on OTC (see DMYY -> HQ).
You are talking number of shares, investors and float, but what is the revenue / profit of this company? SPACs are notoriously overvalued. This is what matters, not if they signed some bullshit with the UK. Math! It’s all math, not vibes!
The current float may be shorted but after closing, the float will expand massively, many times over, as lockups expire in rapid succession.
tbh I would short it too! Only danger is the well documented SPAC pop which can obliterate your short, but if you gave me put option for 1-2 dollars and strike of 5 in 1 year, I would buy it.
