TL/DR: SOL treasury company & institutional scale network validator aiming to serve as staking infrastructure for ETFs, Solana Mobile, ARK invest.
Sol Strategies ($HODL/$CYFRF) is a Digital Asset Treasury (DAT) company, essentially a $MSTR for SOL. So yes, they’re a way to get SOL exposure through your Fidelity account. What’s interesting is the different income streams they have as a DAT that also runs SOL validators generating staking returns for others.
Their current SOL treasury of $90M is staked on their own validators for max return. They are also providing back end staking support to institutional partners, including ARK Invest and Solana Mobile. They have almost $750M of other people’s SOL staked on their validators. They have financing in place to keep growing their SOL bag and validator capacity. They seem to be targeting a niche as a staking provider for institutional clients and eventually ETF’s. I’ve been stacking them as $CYFRF for a while. Very exciting to see them making the leap to Nasdaq as $STKE!
And yeah, first day of $STKE trading is *Tuesday*, Sept 8.
