**If you aren’t knowledgeable or don’t have financial acumen to continuously monitor your portfolio allocations and rebalance them appropriately then you shouldn’t be doing this.**
You have to atleast rebalance the portfolio annually to meet the designated allocations for Ex-US and US as per the global stock market share. Are you willing to do this every year for next 30+ years or until your retirement? I don’t think its worth it when VXUS can handle this without you doing anything.
The purpose of VXUS in a portfolio is to give you Ex-US stock market exposure and most importantly, automatically rebalance the allocations where there is performance from any Ex-US Stock Market.
