cortelco was founded on august 11, 1961 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of itt, the largest international distributor of telecommunication systems in the world. cortelco systems puerto rico, inc. was incorporated under the laws of the commonwealth of puerto rico on july 1998 and its sole stockholder was cortelco puerto rico, inc.
