I find it really funny how ppl from literally every background, like every single Tom Dick and Harry feels like they wanna become a quant cos they think it's this perfect career with big money. In the UK, the hard truth is that unless you're doing Maths at COWI, you stand next to no chance of having an easy path. ppl get in through other ways like doing masters at target schools but it's a hell lot more stressful and quant is one of those careers where for the most part, you have to be prepared for stress.
TLDR: Don't bother, it's not worth it
