Distyl AI is built by former Palantirians that I know, but can tell you that they aren’t fishing in the same pools.
Distyl is competing with Anthropic and OpenAI to deploy agentic workflows that actually create value. Think about it as an OpenClaw for real use cases.
Palantir is not that. I’ve said this 1,000 times here. It’s a combination data plumbing, orchestration, and custom software development company that can smoke all of the other competitors who are offering similar things.
Before people come out and say “oh, you’re custom software, that’s not scalable and more like consulting.” Yes and no. This argument doesn’t hold any water if the company’s operating margins are rapidly growing every quarter - irrespective of how different each project is.
The nature of every use case is different across customers, even within the same industry, but with an amazing FDE workforce and a PaaS that is 2-3 years ahead of niche data platforms, PLTR can afford to work on the hardest problems thrown at them- whether they’ve seen it before, or not.
**BLAB: Every company that wants to pay you $25-$100M per year wants a software solution that fits like a glove. They think they’re a special snowflake, and don’t want a vanilla offering. If they did, they would buy Databricks at 1/10th price- but that’s a data science stack.**
**The total annual revenue of Accenture, Deloitte, Bain, McKinsey, KPMG, et al- excluding their tax/audit practices- has to be around $200B. PLTR will eat 30-40% of that in the next five years, no problem.**
