Last week, I got a tip from a colleague to consider buying stock in this medical device company. It's been trading around $.15-18 but shot up 20% today. It's a penny stock, which gives me a lot of concern, but it is a legit company. Ticker: $ARTH. From what I can gather online, they're next step is to get something called a CE Mark, and if that gets approved, the value of the company can skyrocket. And it looks like some analyst put a Buy rating at $2.00, which is is 10x it's current price. Sounds like this is a complete gamble, but damn it sounds enticing to put a couple grand in.
