I know "ZERO" about international trading. Fidelity wasn't much help either. I just felt more comfortable having my shares of Air Liquide at Fidelity. They are coded each year with a new ISIN code which happens to be FR0000120073 this year for 2026. I had shares that were coded from 2016 and they pay a pretty significant 10% loyalty bonus which includes a free share gift (attribution) as well. They also give 10% more dividends. I kind of shot myself in the foot because the in house broker at Air Liquide wouldn't send the shares with the same code. The code changed. I lost the loyalty bonus possibly until my code rolls around and becomes eligible again with the waiting period of 2 years. My shares will be eligible in 2029. They pay the bonuses every spring. The ticker symbol is AI:FR. Apparently you can hold the AIQUY ticker symbol and avoid some of the money exchange nonsense. I am not sure how that works either, but I noticed the share price is 25% of AI:FR. I wonder if its eligible for the same bonus? I will probably add 8 shares to my 62 shares and purchased them before December 29th to make them eligible for the 2029 bonus. I can also reinvest dividends I assume. Before I was getting dividend checks.
