Yeah, it's confusing because the value is over their criteria but then it's on an OTC market (and something about market cap or something) that makes it so people exclude it from most big spaces, but it's too valuable for smaller spaces, which is why I'm feeling a bit confused about where to go.
It seems like it was a different company name trying to make a sports park entertainment venue years ago that fell flat on its face, so they turned it into a shell corp for years, and recently they partnered with Andre Agassi to re-brand and try to launch a whole new thing with pickleball and ever since then they've been climbing in stock price, then they recently announced partnerships with IBM and JOOLA (paddle maker) and obtained the trademark to the world series of pickelball. Every time they announce something the stock goes up.
The CEO is talking about uplisting and I found an SEC form about him and his brother transferring stock (pretty sure so he's not a "beneficial owner" or whatever so they are more likely to hit the uplisting criteria?). I feel like this is either a weird insider trading scam and the rug will be pulled out from under it (the shell corp history / name changes / transferring stocks stuff) or it's genuinely a growing opportunity that I don't want to miss out on (Andre Agassi seems like he's staking a lot of his reputation on it and he'd have a lot to lose if it was a scam). Everything else in the portfolio is straight up pennies and those are super fun, getting really into that! But I'm currently holding over $100k in AASP and I just don't want to f*ck it up 😬

Sorry. My response was removed by the auto-mod previously, because it noticed I was linking to another subreddit. I don't believe AASP qualifies as a penny stock (it is now worth 7.50/share).
I will say, looking at the 5Y chart of that stock, it's gained over 1000% in the last year...

I inherited a bunch of shares of AASP stock and it doesn't seem to fit criteria for me to post about in any subs and I don't know what I'm doing (no experience with this, it was my uncle's retirement hobby) and I really don't want to disappoint my late uncle by managing them poorly so if anyone has any advice I am so all ears 😭
