My wife flipped a 5 million demo account to 10 million.. she was so overconfident and ate my head every single day to give her an actual account.
I asked her to use TP and SL for every trade she takes in next 2 weeks.. if she survives this phase then she would get a funded account.
Two weeks down, her demo account sits at 23K USD from 10 million.

>What’s the first thing you would test here?
Run an optimization gauntlet/sweep, then plot the results. If the results don't form a bell curve, it's overfitted.
Though to be fair, the Sharpe ratio being 20 already tells you this. There's nothing to test, it's BS.
But if you insist, I'd focus on whether the PF \~2.6 and DD \~4.5% survive out-of-sample testing. And remember MetaTrader calculates Sharpe from equity changes sampled by bars, including unrealized equity movement, rather than simply taking the 333 individual trade returns. You also have the LR Correlation = 1.00. That means the equity curve is extraordinarily linear.
You can also just check the settings. Bots that use fixed settings (ex: 20 pip TP, RSI = 9 or whatever to enter) generally don't work, especially when advertised to only use with one pair. That's overfitted BS from people selling a dream to newbies.
So again, not worth testing IMO. It's complete BS.

I would Have a strict maximum daily loss (automatic if possible) and also a strict max daily win.
The numbers should not be too big.
Focus on key levels with repeatable signals you can identify, wait for confirmation, then execute.
Set SL tarjet. Set TP tarjet and let it run until it hits TP or makes and confirms an opposite trade in that case early close and end the trading day.
Thats it. Take the win. If its reversing and you have good money already close it and take the win and end the trading day. Block your account.
And just like that.
You should be able to take a few loosing days chillin without breaking rules. And then the winning days come and you start seeing profit.
If you can have the guts to trust and not interfere much that's 90% right there.

Created another automated trading stratefy for trading MES. Testing on 2 MES contracts with 2 TP and trailing SL.
The backtest is from 11/30/2025 - 06/01/2026. Starting on real-time MES data starting 06/02/2026.

Hello everyone,
For the past year, I built and tested a platform to automate how I find trade setups. As a part-time trader, I did not have time to watch charts all day. I wanted a tool where I could set rules once, backtest them, and assign them to tickers.l and then the platfrom scan the market and let me know when my setup triggers, I can also set TP/SL either fixed or ATR based so my setup alert become more complete.
You can assign multiple strategies to single ticker, and choose whether static order or dynamic order based on performance. Also you can define a tp/sl per full ticker deployment acting as another cap on top of each strategies, in addition, you can override strategy base time frame.
have used it myself for a few months. Since it worked for me, I launched it publicly a few days ago under the name StratOwl.It is a niche tool, so I am looking for beta testers from this community.
If you want to help in testing it, I'm happy to provide you a free Pro plan for a month. You just need to sign up and let me know your user name so I can upgrade the account.
Thanks in advance,
Ahmed - Founder

Now I know you guys are like what the duck is wrong with this guy he shouldn’t be trading…and you’re partially right…I know my mistakes and I am messing up…I know I only should take 2-3 serious a day, not override and not let emotions play in between but the truth is…whenever I enter a trade I feel I get so affected by the noise and the red numbers that I start telling myself when it’s in a loss already that just go back to break even I’ll close the trade, then it somehow reached a 1000 dollars and I’m like okay it’s going up so my trades going good and then it goes to 300 dollars and I’m like let it get back to 1k I’ll close out then it goes back in loss and it’s the same thing over again and I close the trade in a loss or shit profit, and I look back 20m- 45m later the trade has hit my alleged TP which I had expected but I left the trade in fear of the numbers, it’s making me revenge trade FOMO TRADE just to get back the profits and recover. And the funny thing is while I studied trading I followed all these rules in breaking currently. But it hits different knowing there’s money in the line…I feel the market won’t go my way…and sometimes it doesn’t and that’s okay but it frustrates me that I’m too scared to place a stop loss or, too scared to leet my trade play out or trust my strategy…I need to start journaling..it’s smth I thought wouldn’t make a difference, but maybe it’s time, on the bright side I try minimizing my losses and in some cases I’m glad I closed the trade early.. but I’m not proud of the fact I was in the trade just because I wanted to revenge trade, or felt FOMO

I appreciate your advice,
However my problem with it is that i prefer to have set 'amounts' for my sell and buy stops, rather than areas where i am 'right' and 'wrong'
Technically, i trade supply and demand, so i am 'wrong' at the close of the zone and 'right' at the next available s/r target, based on my strategy, so i know what u mean by letting the trade play out on its own, and placing all the levels strategically in advance.
However, sometimes zones will be 20pts wide,
Too wide for my risk.
I like to have fixed SL and TP, fixed -10 and +10 every time, fixed 8MES every time, Thats js how i operate. I dont want my profits to be inconsistent i suppose.
So what wld u recommend then? Wld that still make my exit rules bad or wld it make them necessary to survive in the market for me?

On avarage im in a trade for less than 60 seconds as a high frequency scalper.
My longest trade is 34 minutes. Market chopped in my position for so long. And mind you, my SL and TP is quite tight. 34 minutes just to get stopped out. Absolute heart break, never again.

ich passe den TP und SL immer an die Volatilität des Börsenproduktes an. Durch Beobachtung findet man heraus welchen SL man mindestens braucht, danach nur jeden tag etwas anpassen

Rule number one, always place a SL before even thinking about TP.
Risk management is everything.

Missing TP by a tick then reversing is pure pain, no notes. That specific one lives in my head rent free.

"I do notice some days my SL gets triggered and a few minutes later the price goes to my TP. Frustrating but it happens"
This is an incredibly well known phenomenon that the majority of people who use stops will be familiar with, either from their past or maybe still. Anyone who has studied the field would be aware of that, and as it's so well known, mentioning it did seem redundant and odd.

I know there isn't room for emotions in trading, but what is the worst that can happen for you. Like where you get the most angry. Is it the price instantly hitting your SL after entering, or the price just not making your TP by 1 tick?

Because of this incident, I have started using SL again. However, I do notice some days my SL gets triggered and a few minutes later the price goes to my TP. Frustrating but it happens!
