If you look over the numbers, the majority of the "speedup" and giant leaps that NVDA claims, actually come from decreasing numeric precision, and they still call them FLOPS/TOPS without differentiation.. Add in the engineering and process changes that act as multipliers et voila... massive "improvements" in performance at a loss of precision..
