Bombardier has 3000 US employees, almost all in red states apart from their small Washington DC office for Pentagon support. Their US supply chain affects companies in 47 US states, and the indirect employment of contractors and third party businesses to their US operations is over 10,000 Americans.

He has lost his mind.
Canada is our second largest trading partner after Mexico, purchasing $260 billion in products.
And, with the exception of energy (which we buy from them at inexpensive prices), they run a trade deficit with us, buying more goods from us than we buy from them.
This belligerent, ignorant moron in the White House has insulted Canada to such a degree that half have canceled planned trips to the US. Many are starting to boycott our products. He, like the drunkard running the Pentagon, can't abide anyone who challenges him.
In addition to destroying monuments in DC, confidence in voting, and environmental and health protections, Trump is hell bent om making enemies of our friends and sucking up to enemies like Putin and Kim Jong-Un. The big project appears to be destroying democracy.
Meanwhile, the GOP Congress follows him like toddlers being promised a cookie.

Gas Turbines and BYOP for now. Renewables with battery storage later. Some CSPs are buying renewables and batteries for utilities to offset their new gas turbines until they can adopt greener solutions. RAM, HBM, CPUs, HDDs , flash, GPUs, and building DC capacity are the bottlenecks. All are under severe strain, and they all need to ramp together to build the AI future. The value is obvious, digital workers in the cloud. It’s a race to build them at scale.

Amazing! The American people sure knows how to pick’em. What’s next? Maybe rename DC DA, as in District of America? Or the Pacific Ocean the American Ocean? Oh, or maybe rename Arkham Asylum ”America, the hostile loonie bin”.

I’m doing the 250th mint collection and the DC superhero’s. My kids and I enjoy that as a hobby. No comment on the high premiums but something about a first strike coin at a 70 you do yourself with a special label is just fun to me. I did call them and upgrade to the platinum membership.

50+ years of brainwashing that its not the answer.
Placated by all the modern stuff.
Disagreement on what the common goal should be.
Half of them half enough money and dont care.
Waiting for someone else to save them.
Expanding police state makes coordinated action harder. The US is a big country, everyone cant just wake up and take the bus down to DC before lunch time.
Lots of reasons.

Fundamentals are still good for all 3, but the chart for AVGO is in a downtrend. Sectors and individual stocks within sectors move in cycles. NVDA was deemed as “too expensive” for the last year even though their PEG ratio is below 1 and lower than all the mega caps. Didn’t make sense. MRVL has a narrative atm of being a threat to AVGO’s ASIC revenue. It’s probably a bit overblown but the street loves the story and sees MRVL as undervalued compared to its competitors. MRVL spent years building a base between roughly $60-$120 before breaking out this year. I first bought the stock in 2022/2023 for around $65. I sold it back in ‘24 before its first run to $120, but then came back to it this spring just under $80. This is why trading individual stocks is so hard. You literally do need to keep track of this stuff almost every single day over years to be able to see the best opportunities before others do. NVDA is currently in ascendancy and is closely aligned with MRVL so those are the two I would be buying.
On another note, if you want some foundry exposure and missed TSM, I would recommend buying GFS and UMC. INTC is also a no brainer at these levels. I like CBRS too. However, my main focus in the chip sector is power semis. They had a great run in the spring but got sold off hard. Power semis and the 800v DC theme will be a huge opportunity in the coming years. Then quantum will likely come next.
You can’t go wrong buying AVGO long term, but I think you will have better gains in the short term with NVDA and MRVL. AVGO will have its moment when OAI Jalapeño chip starts its mass production.
