In my opinion you’ll be kicking yourself if you sell IES given recent events and what seems likely over the coming years in my opinion.
It seems your challenge is assessing companies, circumstances and timing, not necessarily AIM. There is no shame in that, as everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. That is why some people prefer to invest in index trackers and not try to follow in Warren Buffett’s footsteps.
I have a diverse stock market investment portfolio of companies and index trackers. However for a notable portion now after years of success thankfully, I am with Warren personally… who once said that if he were starting again today with $10,000, he would focus first on small businesses; ‘I probably would be focusing on smaller companies because I would be working with smaller sums, and there’s more chance that something is overlooked in that arena.’

ISA allowance maxed out yet? ... then drip feed £80 into ISA pot per working day , so you can max out allowance by start of every tax year. Do it for next 10 years (no comprimise). Then split pie into investments vs dry powder (for Black swan events). Keep reinvesting in high dividend payers for compound. No investing ever outside ISA. And dont touch AIM.
