Again anecdotal. But I phoned a local taxi company the other day, this used to put you through to a switchboard where you would talk to someone and they would take details and order your taxi. This time it was an AI, it spoke to me in my regional accent, understood perfectly everything I said, could understand my accent (my TV remote struggles when I use voice search) and ordered my taxi. I was pretty surprised how good it was, and how close to a real conversation it ended up being.

Sure he was but he wasn't as good of a businessman, not compared to Musk or even Cook. He made up for that with fantastic presentation skills, vision and ability to sell the product.

That said, Steve Jobs absolutely failed at multiple products (hence he was ousted as CEO) quite shortly after Apple II. In his new era, just some I can think of; 2011 Macbook Pro failing GPUs, Xserve (and Apple's server attempts in general), Airport lineup as well, The g4 cube, MobileMe cloud services (and really initially missing the cloud game totally), arguably Apple TV. His management skills were extremely poor (especially compared to Cook).

I know, it's incredible. YouTube has become TV; I wouldn't touch Netflix because of YouTube. Waymo will become cars. So that's two new industries they'll dominate. As I said, my only concern is related to search, that ai agents could replace the need for search

One way is trade with a prop firm. Gets you live data but if you need extras eg. More indicators etc U still need to upgrade Ur TV plan.

Why do you think it's overvalued? Buffett bought in at 350, and he's hardly one for wildcard bets. YouTube is literally becoming TV, and Waymo will become driverless cars. Google, which has nothing to do with either industry since its inception, will, in the eventuality, become the world's largest TV company and world's largest car company(in some regard)

I believe AI will take over society, but I just don't understand memory or semiconductors. Like, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that Amazon has a monopoly in e-commerce, or that YouTube is becoming the new TV. Years from now, Amazon and Google will still be dominant. Whereas with semis, I just don't know, but that's perhaps down to my own ignorance. What do you think of NVIDIA

I don’t know if this is serious, if it is, respectfully probably do more research and don’t come to wsb for education- it will save you. 
To answer your question, it’d be the ask. You can buy to open a position or sell to open a position. If you buy to open, you sell to close and vice versa. It’s the same as trading stock, buying is long (up) selling is short (down). An easy way to remember bid/ask when looking at options, it will always be the price you don’t want. If you’re going long, it’s not going to be the cheaper price. If you’re selling to open, it’s gonna be the cheaper price. But you should start by memorizing and understanding the difference between bid/ask as well as the spread. 
Since I’m such a nice guy, research intrinsic value (IV$ and time value (TV). Traditionally (pre wsb gambling generation) the sweet spot for options is 50/50 IV/TV. If you understand the mechanics it will help you find the right option for your strategy. Additionally it opens the door to trading off the Greeks which is a whole other world but can be as profitable financially as it can be in saving your ass. For example, rolling options. 

Gold isn’t meant to replace a 401or Roth IRA. It’s generally used as a diversification and wealth-preservation asset alongside other investments. You can absolutely self-manage your portfolio while still choosing to hold some physical precious metals. And as for USMR, the appropriate question is what products, fees, IRA options, and buyback policies they actually offer..not whether they advertise on TV. Advertising successfully doesn’t by itself make a company or its products illegitimate.

I still use tradingview as my one of my main trading platform, just with different brokers and not with IBKR. The order execution through TV is superior. But Quantower is quickly becoming my favorite now.
I only trade futures so I wouldn't know which broker to use for stocks, maybe tradeststion?

Bad idea bro. IBKR connectivity is the worst Ive ever experienced compared to other brokers. And they aren't even actively trying to resolve that issue.
I get disconnected randomly throughout my trading session and frantically try to login back in only to get an error message for 30 mins. Sometimes, when market opens and I try to login for the first time of the day, it gives me error messages and I have to wait up to 30 mins to be able to log in only to miss my trade potential.
I try to bring it up to them several times and they only give me some template about how to login, completely ignoring the main issue.
Don't take my word for it, go check out the tradingview reviews of IBKR and you will see it is not an isolated issue with just me.
I've since gave up on them because TV is one of my preferred trading execution platform, aside from quantower, so if a broker lacks in TV integration, I'm out.
I have capital spread out between 3 other brokers using TV and I don't experience any of the connectivity issues I do with IBKR.

He and others are developing an impressive cottage industry around the AI bubble narrative. I swear I see Ed Zitron multiple times a day across podcasts and on TV saying the same thing every day.
