[Here is my recommended approach.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Bogleheads/s/VYGU1THC8N)
$102K on $2.3 MM is 4.4%. It's roughly 4% on $2.5 MM, which could be your balances in two years.
Of course, that 15% in bonds is currently dragging your portfolio down, and has been for a long time. Adding to that will drag it further down.
>I also want a tax-efficient withdrawal plan. I have a large traditional/rollover IRA balance, and I want to reduce future RMD and Medicare-premium exposure through planned Roth conversions, without creating unnecessarily high taxes today. We need to coordinate taxable-account sales, traditional IRA withdrawals, Roth conversions, capital gains, health-insurance subsidies before Medicare, and later Medicare IRMAA thresholds.
Good luck threading that needle. Personally, I see no value in Roth Conversions; paying tax now to save tax later.
I'll be pretty blunt. I suggest you focus on funding the circa 4% withdrawals for the period between retirement and when you 1) start Medicare, although your wife will still need health insurance and 2) when you start SS. You don't have a surplus of assets to do everything on your laundry list. Worry about IRMA later. Worry about RMDs later--because they are 15 years away at this point.
[FWIW, here's my toy for financial planning.](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WQphWoaXtoleI_fhhHXIDWS9xm6rSB8qLWv1dVH7y1A/edit?gid=0#gid=0) You might want to make a copy, input your numbers, see where you stand. Also, figure out what your annual distributions from your investments are. Even in market declines, they tend to remain more or less constant.
Here's what you need to recognize about going more conservative. IT AIN'T GONNA SAVE YOU. The $350K (15%) in bonds is NOT going to protect the $1.95 MM in stocks. If the market drops 20% (or some percentage), you don't have the assets to retire. You will likely have to wait until the stocks recover. Going to $500K in bonds will not save the drop in $1.8 MM in stocks; you will have to wait.
Here's the numbers. A $2.5 MM potfolio at age 62 should produce about $50K in distributions, or roughly half your spend. When you get to that, stick $250K in cash, which will cover 5 years of spending from 62 to 67, when you hit FRA. Your required nut becomes a lot less then. And that assumes the market is down for five years, which is unlikely.
But going more conservative now really does you no good, and only means you are wasting your final accumulation years. You'd be better off owning stocks between now and then, because the 15% in bonds is no man's land--and 25 or 30% is worse.

Do you understand the base principle between a savings account and investing in bitcoin? Which might I say launched in 2009 so what 20 years? Again, the point of a savings account is to SAVE money and absorb part of inflation, it will not make you any money, nor will it absorb all the inflation. But if you invest ALL your savings in bitcoin and it goes down, well you are fucked because if you need money you need to sell at a lower price than the one you bought. I can’t believe I have to explain the difference between savings and investments, but seeing as you call investing in crypto “savings” it is believable that you would not understand the difference. Anyway, I can honestly say that I hope for the bottom of my heart for you to not put all your money in bitcoin and keep some saved up in a savings account and if you don’t… well fingers crossed.

Another thing. I have Nelnet and by using the paperless and autopay features I get 1% interest shaved off my loans. It is set to only last until 2028 but that’s a big difference in my interest payments since I went from SAVE forbearance to a payment plan.
