Yes I tried this and I lasted only a few months. I was trading with a 100k account. This was lile ten years ago, before I was all in to options. So I traded bounce and volatility of stocks under $20/share. I had decent dividends coming in as well. I had some great days, but my failure was not giving up on a trade that went against my rules. I remember DF, ROYT, WFT, BOXL put me so far behind it was nuts. At one point I had 17k shares of WFT and they filed for bankruptcy so I woke up to the stock being halted . My 30k investment was worth like $12 within minutes. No way to sell, nothing. That was the hit I couldn't handle.
My career is stressful, and hard work. But I could say the stress from day trading was a different level. I am a statistics and probably master, and study every which way and the market still messed with my psychology. I couldn't stick to my rules when I knew I had to Crack that nut every day or be homeless.
